The Mdiq International Nautical Week is one of the most important sporting, social, tourist, and economic events of the summer season in Morocco.
In the crystal-clear waters of the Mediterranean coast, this is a prime location, a veritable balcony on the Strait of Gibraltar whose facilities meet the highest standards in both the port of Mdiq and the vicinity. The Nautical Week invites watersports enthusiasts to come discover a region that is blessed with unique climate and natural environment.
The event is organized by the Royal Yachting Club of Mdiq, under the patronage of His Majesty King Mohamed VI, with first-class sponsors as well as international participation and a professional jury. It also hosts a transcontinental regatta which goes all the way to Fuengirola and meets criteria of the competitions of the Spanish Sailing Federation. There are also shorter crossings between the ports of Cabo Negro and Punta Almina.
During this week, there are many cultural and social events, meetings, conferences, dinners, and shows that heighten the appeal of a region dominated by the beauty of its coast, the richness of its cuisine, and the mildness of its climate.
